UVM Sweeps FPU Rowing Again

It was a great day in Lowell, MA as Franklin Pierce men’s crew team raced against University of Vermont, Amherst, University of Massachusetts Lowell,and Mass Maritime.
The race is two kilometers long with a light tail wind. The race took place on the textile river and about five teams attended this regatta including Franklin Pierce University.
The final results of the men’s varsity race were University of Vermont finishing first with a time of six minutes and thirty four seconds, Franklin Pierce (Z. Goodman, I. Randall, D. Forget, P. Brosnan, and B. DiCrescenzo) coming in second with a time of six minutes and forty four seconds.
UMass Lowell finished in third place with a time of six minutes and fifty five seconds and Mass Maritime came in last place with a time of six minutes and fifty nine seconds.
Ian Randall is a member of the crew team. ”We have a lot of work to do to prepare for the championships, but we have it in us to do well,” said Randall.
For the results of the men’s varsity second four University of Vermont finished first with a time of six minutes and twenty one seconds. Amherst finished seconds with a time of six minutes and fifty one seconds and Mass Maritime with a time of seven minutes and twenty four seconds.
Franklin Pierce (J. Waxman, J Lacava, P. Ballantyne, M. Walcott and B. Krivelow) finished last with a time of eight minutes and forty three seconds. Brad Krivelow of the second men’s varsity boat said “It should be a fun race even though we have not practiced much, we should have a good race.”
Franklin Pierce men’s varsity boats will be racing in Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, MA this Saturday May 1.
