If these past eight weeks have been long and stressful, PAC (Pierce Activities Council) has the solution to release some stress and tension.
On March 12th, from 12 to 4 p.m. massages will be given to students and faculty in the Glass Foyer here on campus. Professional massage therapists will be here to help students relax and let loose from all the pressure of mid terms. Derek Matheson, a freshman here on campus, said, “I plan on getting the longest massage I can get, I am already stressed out and mid terms haven’t even started yet.”
“Massages will last at least five minutes” said Derek Scalia, assistant director of student involvement, “and is open to all students and faculty, although I hope more students than faculty take advantage of this opportunity.” Two massage therapists, from Massage on the Go USA will be giving massages.
Last semester only one massage therapists could make it due to a flat tire, and so only about 20 people were massaged in the four hours. This year, two massage therapists will be here and 40 to 60 are expected to get massages this time said Scalia.
If you are interested and cannot make it this Friday, the massage therapist will be back on the last day of classes, May 7th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
