Underground Cinema Society shows dark comedy

Underground Cinema Society has gained a reputation for showing controversial  films on campus, and tonight is no exception.  Movie fans gather in Fitzwater 101 to watch Spun,  a dark comedy about methamphetamine users.

The group’s Vice President Matt Walcott is anxiously placing the DVD in the drive, as the lights are about to go dark.  A crowd of nearly a dozen students cannot help but simultaneously laugh and cover their eyes at the morbid humor.  This is the weekly ritual for the club, and next Thursday will continue the tradition when the movie Rubber is put up on the projector.
